Hamster Ball Robot
The goal of Project 413 was to create a robot inspired by a webcomic called xkcd. It is a combination of the ideas set forth in the comic with the requirements of our Embedded Systems Design course ECE 4180 at Georgia Tech (its a month long design project that concludes the course).
Due to our shoestring budget, some design choices, and a general lack of time the final product is not a perfect recreation of xkcd’s favorite pet. We like to think of it as a salute to the creativity of Randal Munroe that also happens to be an interesting design project.
We will continue to add features and improve the current design, but this site’s purpose is to present the result of our work during only the design phase of our class.
